The end of the school year is too late

Schools tend to teach this unfortunate lesson at the end of the school year. Usually this information comes to the surface when a failing grade has been assigned. In most cases, parents are angry and the esteem of the kid drops into a bottomless pit. We all know that students do not like being the older student enrolled in a class to repeat a year of class-work. Self-esteem easily drops. Schools that support retaining student for a second year of the same grade level diminish self-esteem. Deciding whether to “hold your child back” or send them to the next grade is a sticky decision. We feel when the art of excellence program is applied; children learn how to accomplish goals. It’s important that all stake-holders consider important factors. Parents in particular will want to commit to daily assistance. There are a few cautions to avoid.
